When you create an account or use ThroneRank, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: Email address, username, full name, and optional profile phrase
• Profile picture: Uploaded avatar or photo provided through third-party authentication (e.g., Google OAuth)
• Payment data: Contribution amounts and timestamps. We do not store payment card numbers — all payment processing is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor
• Usage data: Login timestamps, ranking history, and contribution history
• Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, and device information collected at registration and when accepting legal agreements
• Session data: Authentication cookies and session tokens necessary to keep you logged in

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain the ThroneRank platform and leaderboards
• Process contributions and update rankings in real time
• Send ranking notifications when your position changes and you have been inactive for 3 or more days
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• Maintain a legal audit trail of Terms of Service acceptance
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
• Improve the platform based on aggregated usage patterns

3. Cookies & Tracking

ThroneRank uses strictly necessary cookies and session tokens to authenticate your account and maintain your login state. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The cookies we set include:

• Authentication session cookies: Required to keep you logged in. Deleted when you sign out.
• Security tokens: Short-lived tokens used for CSRF protection and secure OAuth flows.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in or using the platform.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only with the following categories of trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform, each bound by confidentiality and data processing obligations:

• Payment processors: To securely handle contribution transactions
• Database and infrastructure providers: To store and process your account data

Publicly visible data: Your username, full name, profile phrase, avatar, and ranking position are visible to all users of the platform.

5. International Data Transfers

ThroneRank is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using ThroneRank, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations. If you request account deletion, your profile and associated data will be permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records, legal audit trails).

7. Notification Preferences

We may send you email notifications when your ranking position changes and you have been inactive for 3 or more days. You can opt out of these notifications at any time from your account Settings page. Transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) cannot be disabled as they are essential for account security.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure authentication practices. All payment data is handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant processors — we never store card numbers on our servers.

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

ThroneRank is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will promptly delete the account and associated data. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at notifications@thronerank.com.

10. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For minor changes, we will update the effective date above. For material changes, we will notify you via email or by requiring your affirmative acknowledgment before continued use of the platform.
