How Throne Works
Everything you need to know about the competitive ranking platform
What is Throne?
Throne is a competitive ranking platform where users compete for positions based on the exact USD value of their contributions. It's designed for those who seek public status, recognition, and the thrill of outranking others.
The platform centers around a global leaderboard visible to everyone. Your rank is determined solely by your total contributions - the more you contribute, the higher you climb.
Global Ranking
The global ranking is the heart of Throne. It's a single, unified leaderboard that spans the entire platform.
Every user on Throne has a global rank based on their total contributions across all activities. Whether you contribute directly to the global ranking or through groups, your total always reflects on your global position.
Rankings are updated in real-time, so you can see exactly where you stand at any moment.
Groups
Groups allow you to compete in focused arenas with like-minded rivals.
**Public Groups** can be discovered by anyone and joined freely. They appear in the featured groups section and can be found through search.
**Private Groups** require an invite code to join. They're perfect for exclusive communities, friend groups, or organizations that want to compete internally.
Every contribution made within a group also counts towards your global total. This means you're always climbing both leaderboards simultaneously.
Contributions & Currency
All contributions on Throne are tracked to the exact USD value.
We support multiple payment methods and currencies, but regardless of how you pay, your contribution is converted to USD at the market rate at the time of payment.
This ensures a fair and accurate ranking system where everyone's contributions are measured on the same scale.
Future supported methods may include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, crypto, and more.
Privacy & Visibility
Your profile is public - your display name, phrase, global rank, and total contributions are visible to everyone.
Your contribution history is private and never shown publicly. Only you can see the details of your individual contributions.
Groups you belong to are visible on your public profile (for public groups only). Private group memberships are not displayed.
